What’s In a Name?
Many people have asked how I came up with the name LoveGrace, or what the meaning behind the name is. I have to say, it was one of the hardest parts of this experience for me. I knew I wanted to come up with something unique and personal, but also a name that embodied everything about what the Weddings I produce look like – ethereal, elegant, and classic, with timeless grace and beauty.
It was a difficult task, which took me several month’s. During the process, I would often think of my grandmother – I had a very close relationship with her throughout my life and since she has passed, I call her my guardian angel. One night, before falling asleep I asked her to help me come up with a name for my company that I would love. The next morning, the first thing on my mind was LoveGrace. It couldn’t have been more perfect for me, especially because my grandmother’s name was Anna Grace. I knew in that moment that the name LoveGrace was her gift to me.
About Jaime
I would much rather be talking with you about the vision you have for your Special Day then talking about myself here, but until we can meet, here is a little about me…
I was born & raised in New York and, according to my mother, my love, passion (& slight obsession) for weddings began when I was 3yrs old. I would dress up in her wedding gown and veil and pretend to be “the Bride”. I even asked for a mini wedding cake for my birthday – the typical birthday cake that most little girls want was not for me. Suffice it to say, I was completely enamored with anything and everything wedding-related. Growing up, whenever I saw a Bride taking pictures, I was mesmerized, always wanting to get a closer look at their dress (needless to say I embarrassed my mom on several occasions) Even then, I knew that someday I would make a career out of my love for weddings.
After graduating with honors from St. John’s University with a degree in Communications, and giving the publishing world a (brief) try, I decided I had to follow my heart and my true passion. I started out as a Catering Assistant working for off-premise caterers in Westchester, NY and Greenwich, CT, later working in the hotel industry in NYC, and eventually transitioning to private Clubs; The Yale Club of New York, and exclusive Private Clubs in Palm Beach, FL. I have planned, orchestrated and executed hundreds of Weddings and events of every type for over 20 years, and I consider myself extremely blessed to be able to say that I truly love what I do.
I am often asked how it is possible that I love doing weddings given the level of stress that is involved, but for me, my love lies in the moments & memories I get to be a part of helping to create. There are so many poignant moments on a Wedding day, but I have to say my favorite is when I get to see the look on a couple’s face when they share that first glimpse of one another. You can see the light and love in their eyes and that moment always humbles me – it is an honor to be part of such a special day in your lives.
I am ready to help you plan the event of a lifetime. My goal is to turn your visions into reality, give you a stress-free planning process, share my years of knowledge, ideas, personal experience, and advice and most of all, give you a sense of calm on your special day so that you can truly enjoy every single moment.
